Chinese American Society of Nuclear Medicine (CASNM) was established in 1977 as a nonprofit, nonpolitical organization with the objectives of encouraging professional contact among members all over the world, facilitating scientific exchanges in research and development, and promoting young scholars as well as international interaction with regard to the science of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging with a special focus in the Chinese community. The membership of CASNM is not restricted to practitioners living in North America. We also welcome participants from Europe, Australia, Asia, and elsewhere to join our organization.
Recently CASNM changed its name to the Chinese American Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (CASNMMI) by embracing molecular imaging. Retaining ‘nuclear medicine’ as part of the society’s name also recognizes the therapeutic, medicinal aspects of nuclear medicine. We will continue to engage in activities to promote both nuclear medicine and molecular imaging with a special focus in the Chinese community.
